Slope factor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010939
A quantitative measure of the carcinogenic potential of a chemical, derived from the slope of the dose-response curve in the low-dose region. This factor represents the upper-bound estimate of the probability of an individual developing cancer per unit of daily exposure to the chemical over a lifetime. It is typically expressed in units of (mg/kg-day)^-1.
