Slit width
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010938
The physical dimension of the opening that defines the spectral bandwidth of radiation passing through a spectrometer. It directly influences the resolution of the instrument, with narrower slits providing higher resolution but lower light throughput. This parameter is measured in units of length, typically micrometers or millimeters.
