Sonogel
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013572
A gel formed through the application of ultrasound, which promotes the aggregation of particles or molecules in a solution. The acoustic cavitation induced by sonication can lead to localized heating, mixing, and chemical reactions that facilitate gelation. This method is used for synthesizing gels with specific microstructures.
