Spatial-distribution interference
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011080
An interference in flame atomic spectrometry in which a concomitant changes the way the analyte species move through the flame, altering their mass flow rate or flow pattern in the observed zone. If the concomitant does this by changing the volume or rise velocity of the combustion gases, so that the flame itself changes in size or shape, the effect is non-specific and is called a flame-geometry interference.
