Standard potential of the reaction in a chemical cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011302
The electromotive force of a chemical cell when all reactants and products are in their standard states. This potential is calculated as the difference between the standard electrode potentials of the cathode and anode half-reactions. It indicates the maximum electrical work that can be obtained from the cell under ideal conditions.
