Static fields mass spectrometer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011327

A type of mass spectrometer that uses constant electric and magnetic fields to separate ions based on their mass-to-charge ratio. Ions are accelerated through a potential difference and then deflected by the fields, with their trajectories depending on their m/z value. This instrument is known for its high resolution and accuracy in mass measurements.
