Dynamic fields mass spectrometer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003491
A mass spectrometer that uses time-varying electric or magnetic fields to separate ions based on their mass-to-charge ratio. This technique allows for rapid scanning of a mass range or the simultaneous detection of multiple ions. Examples include quadrupole mass spectrometers and ion trap mass spectrometers, which operate by trapping and manipulating ions within oscillating electric fields.
