Stibanes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011408
Saturated hydrides of trivalent antimony with the general formula SbnHn+2, of which stibane, SbH3, is the parent and distibane, Sb2H4, is the next member. Hydrocarbyl derivatives of SbH3 are called stibines, or substituted stibanes in systematic naming. Stibane is a toxic, thermally unstable gas that decomposes to antimony and hydrogen.
