Styrene polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011505
A polymer derived from the monomer styrene, characterized by a repeating unit containing a phenyl group attached to the polymer backbone. Polystyrene is a common example, widely used in packaging and insulation due to its rigidity and transparency. These polymers are typically formed through vinyl polymerization.
