Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013605

A distinct form of cutaneous lupus erythematosus characterized by non-scarring, photosensitive skin lesions that appear as either papulosquamous plaques or annular (ring-shaped) erythema. The condition primarily affects sun-exposed areas of the skin and follows a relapsing and remitting course. Patients with this condition frequently test positive for anti-Ro/SSA autoantibodies, which are a key diagnostic marker.
