Drug-induced lupus

An autoimmune disorder, similar to systemic lupus erythematosus, that is caused by exposure to certain medications. The condition is characterized by symptoms such as joint pain, muscle pain, and fever, which appear after starting the drug. Symptoms typically resolve within weeks to months after the causative drug, such as procainamide or hydralazine, is discontinued.
