Surface roughness
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011663
A measure of the texture of a polymer surface, quantifying the deviations in the direction of the surface normal from its ideal form. It describes the irregularities present on the surface, which can arise from processing conditions or material properties. This characteristic significantly influences adhesion, friction, and optical properties of polymer films.
