t₁ noise
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011788
A type of noise observed in two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy that manifests as streaks or artifacts parallel to the F1 (indirect) frequency axis. This noise arises from imperfections in the pulse sequence, particularly during the evolution period (t₁), leading to variations in signal intensity that are correlated across the direct dimension. It can obscure weak signals and reduce the overall signal-to-noise ratio.
