Tail immersion test

A behavioral assay used to assess antinociception in rodents by measuring the latency of tail withdrawal from a noxious thermal stimulus. The animal's tail is immersed in hot water, and the time until it is withdrawn is recorded. This test is frequently employed to screen for potential analgesic drugs.
