Tammann’s 2/3rd rule
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011806
An empirical observation stating that the glass transition temperature of a polymer is approximately two-thirds of its melting temperature when both are expressed in Kelvin. This rule provides a quick estimate of the glass transition temperature for many polymers. It is a generalization and not a strict physical law, with deviations observed for specific polymer types.
