Targeted proteomics

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011825

A proteomic strategy that focuses on the quantitative analysis of a selected subset of proteins or peptides within a complex biological sample. This approach uses highly specific methods, such as selected reaction monitoring (SRM) or parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) mass spectrometry, to achieve high sensitivity and reproducibility for the proteins of interest. It is often employed for biomarker validation or pathway analysis.
