Thermal wave decay coefficient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011951

A parameter that describes the exponential attenuation of a thermal wave as it propagates through a material. It is inversely related to the thermal diffusion depth and depends on the material's thermal properties and the frequency of the thermal wave. This coefficient is used in photothermal techniques to characterize thermal transport in solids.
