Trimethylenemethanes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012289
A class of highly reactive diradical organic compounds featuring a central carbon atom bonded to three methylene groups, with two unpaired electrons. The parent compound, trimethylenemethane, has the formula C4H6. These species are often generated as transient intermediates in organic reactions and exhibit unique reactivity due to their diradical nature.
