Unary system

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012414

A thermodynamic system composed of a single chemical component, meaning only one type of chemical substance is present. The phase behavior of such a system can be described by a phase diagram with pressure and temperature as variables. Water (H₂O) is a common example, exhibiting solid, liquid, and gaseous phases depending on these conditions.
