Volatilization

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012603

The process by which a substance changes from a liquid or solid phase into a gaseous phase. This can occur through evaporation, sublimation, or boiling, depending on the conditions and the substance's properties. The rate of volatilization is influenced by factors such as temperature, vapor pressure, and surface area.
