Wavelength error

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013700

A deviation in the indicated wavelength of a spectrophotometer from the true wavelength. This error can lead to inaccuracies in absorbance measurements, particularly when the spectral bandwidth is narrow or the sample has sharp absorption features. Wavelength calibration is typically performed using certified reference materials with known absorption peaks.
