Front pay

Monetary damages awarded to a plaintiff in an employment discrimination case for lost earnings that would have occurred after the date of judgment. This remedy is typically granted when reinstatement to the former position is not feasible or appropriate. It compensates for future economic losses until the plaintiff can secure comparable employment.
