Partial integration

A written contract that parties intend to be the final expression of some, but not all, of the terms of their agreement. It incorporates certain aspects of their understanding while leaving other terms open to proof by extrinsic evidence. The parol evidence rule applies to prevent contradiction of the integrated terms, but not to supplement the unintegrated ones.
