Combination coefficient

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004532

A parameter that quantifies the rate at which small ions in the atmosphere attach to larger aerosol particles, leading to their neutralization or removal from the free ion population. This coefficient depends on the size and charge of both the ions and the aerosol particles. It is a key factor in atmospheric electrical processes and aerosol dynamics.
