Convection cell

A distinct region within a fluid where convective motions occur, characterized by rising warm fluid and sinking cooler fluid. These cells can be observed in the atmosphere as thermals or in larger organized systems like cumulus clouds. The circulation within a cell transports heat and moisture vertically.
