Decile

One of nine values that divide a set of ordered data into ten equal parts, each containing 10% of the observations. In climatology, deciles are used to categorize rainfall, temperature, or other meteorological variables into ten ranges, allowing for the assessment of extreme events or long-term trends. For example, the first decile represents the value below which 10% of the data falls.
