Electrometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005325
A sensitive instrument designed to measure electric charge or electrical potential difference, particularly very small currents. It operates by detecting the force exerted on a charged object or by measuring the voltage across a high impedance. In atmospheric science, electrometers are used to measure atmospheric electric fields and ion concentrations.
