Hydrogen peroxide

A chemical compound with the formula H2O2, which is a strong oxidizing agent found in the atmosphere. It is formed through photochemical reactions involving hydroxyl radicals and other trace gases, playing a role in the oxidation of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Atmospheric concentrations of hydrogen peroxide are typically in the parts per billion range and vary with sunlight intensity and precursor availability.
