Methyl bromide

An organic compound with the chemical formula CH₃Br, historically used as a fumigant and pesticide. It is a potent ozone-depleting substance, contributing to the destruction of stratospheric ozone. Due to its ozone-depleting potential, its production and consumption have been largely phased out under the Montreal Protocol.
