Solarimeter

An instrument that measures the total flux of solar radiation received from the entire hemisphere above the instrument, also known as a pyranometer. It quantifies both direct solar beam radiation and diffuse sky radiation together, providing a measurement of global solar radiation. The output is expressed in watts per square meter (W/m²).
