Air-cut mud

Drilling fluid that has become contaminated with entrained air or gas, reducing its density and hydrostatic pressure. This condition can occur when drilling through gas-bearing formations or due to improper mud circulation. Reduced hydrostatic pressure increases the risk of well control incidents, such as kicks or blowouts.
