Aniline point test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000123
A laboratory procedure to determine the aniline point of a drilling fluid, which is the minimum temperature at which equal volumes of aniline and the fluid become miscible. This test indicates the aromatic content of oil-based muds and their compatibility with rubber components. A lower aniline point suggests a higher aromatic content and greater solvency.
