Borehole correction
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004243
The process of adjusting raw logging measurements to account for the influence of the borehole environment on the tool's response. These corrections address factors such as borehole diameter, mud resistivity, and mudcake thickness. Applying these corrections yields more accurate formation property estimations, such as true resistivity or porosity.
