Density measurement

The determination of the bulk density of a formation using a logging tool that emits gamma rays into the rock and measures the scattered radiation. This measurement is primarily used to calculate porosity, as denser rocks generally have lower porosity. The density log is a key component in evaluating reservoir rock properties and identifying fluid types.
