Depth wheel

A calibrated wheel that measures the length of wireline or coiled tubing deployed into a wellbore. It provides real-time depth readings by counting rotations as the line passes over it. The accuracy of the depth wheel is regularly checked against known markers or by comparing with pipe tally measurements.
