ESP

An electrical submersible pump, a downhole artificial lift system used to increase the flow of liquids from a well. It consists of a motor, protector, intake, and pump sections, all designed to operate while submerged in the wellbore fluid. ESPs are particularly effective in high-volume wells and for lifting viscous fluids like heavy oil.
