Naturally flowing well

A well that produces hydrocarbons to the surface without the aid of artificial lift mechanisms, driven solely by the reservoir's natural pressure. The reservoir pressure must be sufficient to overcome hydrostatic pressure and friction losses in the wellbore. These wells typically exhibit high initial production rates.
