PAC
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002672
Polyanionic cellulose, a water-soluble polymer used as a drilling fluid additive to control fluid loss and increase viscosity. It forms a thin, low-permeability filter cake on the wellbore wall, reducing the invasion of drilling fluid into the formation. PAC is available in different grades, such as regular and premium, depending on its molecular weight and degree of substitution.
