Safety clamp

A mechanical device used to secure tubulars, such as drill pipe, casing, or tubing, in the rotary table or slips to prevent them from falling into the wellbore. It consists of multiple hinged segments that are tightened around the pipe, providing a firm grip. Safety clamps are a standard piece of equipment on drilling and workover rigs to maintain well control and personnel safety.
