Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003526
A fluid pumped into a wellbore between two incompatible fluids, such as drilling mud and cement, to prevent their mixing. It cleans the casing walls and conditions the surfaces for better bonding of the subsequent fluid. Spacers are formulated with specific densities and rheological properties to achieve efficient displacement.
