Viscosity
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000408
A measure of a fluid's resistance to flow, a property for liquid photopolymer resins used in processes like stereolithography and material jetting. It affects how quickly the resin levels out after a layer is completed and how easily it coats the build platform and subsequent layers. Resin viscosity is temperature-dependent and is measured in units of centipoise (cP) or Pascal-seconds, with values for standard 3D printing resins ranging from 150 to 1000 cP at room temperature.
