Aci-nitro compounds
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000145
Tautomeric forms of nitro compounds, specifically those with an alpha-hydrogen, where the hydrogen atom has migrated from the carbon atom to an oxygen atom of the nitro group. This results in a nitronic acid structure. These compounds are often unstable and readily revert to the more stable nitro form.
