Adrenal 4 binding protein
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012845
A nuclear receptor protein, also known as steroidogenic factor 1 (SF-1), that regulates the transcription of genes involved in steroid hormone synthesis and reproductive development. It binds to specific DNA sequences in the promoter regions of target genes, controlling their expression. This protein is expressed in steroidogenic tissues such as the adrenal glands, gonads, and hypothalamus.
