Anaphylactoid
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000566
Describing a reaction that clinically resembles anaphylaxis but is not mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies. These reactions can be triggered by direct activation of mast cells or basophils, or by other non-immunological mechanisms, leading to the release of inflammatory mediators. Contrast with true anaphylaxis, which is IgE-dependent.
