Array detector

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000789

A device consisting of multiple individual detector elements arranged in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional pattern, capable of simultaneously measuring light intensity at different wavelengths or spatial positions. This type of detector captures an entire spectrum or image at once, rather than scanning sequentially. Charge-coupled devices (CCDs) are a common example used in spectroscopy.
