Arsoranes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012892
Pentacoordinate arsenic(V) compounds derived from the hydride AsH5, named lambda5-arsane, by replacing hydrogen with hydrocarbyl groups, as in pentaphenylarsorane, Ph5As. By extension the name also covers arsonium ylides R3As=CR2, the arsenic counterparts of the phosphorus ylides used in Wittig-type chemistry. The parent AsH5 is not a stable compound.
