Back extraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001067

The transfer of a solute from an organic phase into a second aqueous phase. This process is the reverse of the initial extraction step, where the solute was moved from an aqueous phase to an organic phase. It is a common technique for isolating and purifying target compounds in chemical separations.
