Base peak
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001121
The most intense peak in a mass spectrum, representing the ion that is most abundant. This peak is assigned a relative intensity of 100% and all other peaks are reported relative to it. It provides a reference point for comparing the relative abundances of other fragment ions.
