Bioassimilation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012923
The process by which living organisms absorb and incorporate substances from their environment into their tissues and metabolic pathways. This involves the uptake of nutrients or other compounds, followed by their transformation or integration into the organism's biological systems. For polymers, bioassimilation implies that the material can be broken down and absorbed by biological entities.
