Bioreactor

A vessel or apparatus designed to maintain a biologically active environment for the growth of cells or tissues, or for the conversion of substrates by enzymes or microorganisms. It provides controlled conditions such as temperature, pH, and oxygen levels. Industrial bioreactors can range in volume from liters to thousands of cubic meters.
